An angry wife killed her husband on the intention of giving a gift to Nand
The police said that five persons including the wife and her brothers have been arrested and a case has been registered
Twelve banks: In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, a wife killed her husband over a minor dispute over gift giving.
A 35-year-old man was allegedly tortured to death by his wife’s family because he wanted to gift his sister a gold ring and a television on her wedding, police said, NDTV reported. For which his wife was angry with him.
Chandra Prakash Mishra was killed by his wife and in-laws, police said. The incident took place in a village near Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh.
Nand was to be married on April 26 and his brother wanted to gift his sister a gold ring and a television. However, Chandraprakash’s wife was upset about this, which led to a rift between the two. Enraged, the wife called her brothers to “teach Chandra Prakash a lesson”, who beat the brother-in-law with sticks for about an hour, injuring him severely.
He was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police said that five people including the woman and her brothers have been arrested and a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
