Islamabad: Gas prices are likely to increase in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the federal capital.
A hearing on Sui Northern’s gas price hike request will be held today. OGRA will hear the application in Peshawar. SNGPL has demanded a further hike in gas price up to 147%.
Sui Northern has requested a gas price of Rs 2646.18 per mmbtu while the new average price of gas is Rs 4446.89. Sui Northern has also requested that the gas price hike be implemented from July 1, 2024.
Soi Northern has estimated a revenue shortfall of Rs 189 billion 18 crore. OGRA has already heard the application of Sui Northern in Lahore.
