Job fair under Sindh Higher Education Commission will be held tomorrow at Expo Center Karachi

Karachi: Career Care Job Fair is being organized under the Sindh Higher Education Commission (HEC), which will be held tomorrow, May 9 at Expo Center Karachi.

Chairman Sindh HEC Dr. Tariq Rafi while holding a press conference in his office said that apart from media group, companies belonging to other industries including automobile industry, pharma industry, banking sector and food industry are participating in the job fair.

He said that with the support of Vice Chancellor of University of Karachi, the students coming from the universities of Sindh will be accommodated in the hostel of University of Karachi.

Dr. Tariq Rafi said that the Sindh government is giving 35 billion annual grants to the provincial universities, including 8 billion rupees as development grants. Secretary Sindh HEC Moin Siddiqui and Director General Dr. Nauman Ahsan were also present on this occasion.

Director General Sindh HEC Dr Noman Ahsan said that the job fair was organized in 2022 as well, its aim is to build the relationship of academia with industries and businesses so that university graduates get employment opportunities under one roof. can get 109 companies are participating in it. This time, such organizations or companies that only come to the fair and do their marketing have not been invited.

1565 jobs will be offered in the job fair, for which more than 9 thousand students of public and private universities have registered. Dr. Tariq Rafi said on this occasion that on June 1st, the students of the universities will present a showcase of their educational project on behalf of Sindh HEC. This showcase event will also be held at Expo Center Karachi.

Secretary Moin Siddiqui said in the press conference that the administrative and finance training for the deans of the universities is being conducted in Nipa soon so that the deans of the universities can also deal with these challenges.
