Supreme Court judge Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has said that the constitution says that there should be an independent judiciary that gives cheap justice.

He said that I am not very happy with the history of the judiciary, something happens which criticizes the judiciary, it is necessary to resort to technology for pending cases, if we do not bring IT in our system, 24 lakh cases It will be difficult to deal with.

Justice Mansoor said that if the judge is not doing the right work, remove him, there should be zero tolerance on corruption, corruption in the judiciary should be completely eradicated, instead of recommending the judge, see his work and make it on merit.

Justice Mansoor Ali Shah said that there are 4,000 judges in Pakistan and 3,000 are working. The population of Pakistan is 231 million. In this ratio, there are 13 judges per million. The world average is 90 judges per million population. If 90 judges are adopted per million population, Pakistan needs 21 thousand judges.

He said that in Pakistan there is a strike on anything, there will be a strike if the cricket match is lost, people come to the courts by selling goats and buffaloes.

Justice Mansoor said that the judiciary is the most important in the budget in Brazil, according to the World Bank report, 80% of the cases are postponed, where something happens from the side of the judiciary, the lawyers also delay the cases, in the strike. He said that in UK there is one lawyer for 203 people, in Pakistan there is one lawyer for 1000 people, the number of lawyers in Pakistan should increase but the lawyers should be right, commercial courts are given importance all over the world, we pay attention to it. It will be given, a commercial corridor will be created in Pakistan, it will make it easier to solve the issues of the economy.

Justice Mansoor said that 50% of the population of Pakistan are women, but we are not bringing in women judges, 562 judges are women, for this we have to take important steps, unless there is training, the system cannot work, if we leave training and reforms. The system will not improve.

He further said that if the justice system is weak then no system will work, a strong justice system will strengthen other institutions as well.
