The meaning of Irshad Rabbani: “Surely We sent down the (Quran) in the night of Qadr. Do you understand what the night of Qadr is?” The night of Qadr is better than a thousand months, in it the angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) descend to perform every task by the command of their Lord, this night is of complete peace and lasts until dawn. Qadr in Arabic means destiny, order, greatness, magnificence and honor. There are various reasons for calling this night Lailatul-Qadr. In Shab al-Qadr, the part of what is written in the eternal destiny for all creatures is going to happen from the month of Ramadan this year to the next Ramadan.
He is handed over to these angels, so this night is called Lailatul-Qadr. The reason why it is called the Night of Qadr is that in it, Allah revealed a book of great value and dignity to the Holy Prophet, Sayyiduna Anas, that once the month of Ramadan came, the Holy Prophet said, Meaning. : “There has come upon you a month in which there is a night which is better than a thousand months. Whoever misses this night has certainly missed every kind of good.”
Allah Ta’ala has described four reasons for the excellence of the night of Qadr: The revelation of the Qur’an. Better worship than a thousand months. Descend the angels and peace and security throughout the night.
The meaning of the saying of the Holy Prophet: “Look for the night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan.” In not determining the night of Qadr, Allah Almighty has improved for His servants. If the knowledge of Shab al-Qadr had been preserved and told, then the entire month of Ramadan would have been spent in laziness and neglect, and only worship would have been performed on Shab al-Qadr, or whoever had Shab al-Qadr passed without worship, he would have spent the rest of Ramadan in sorrow and sorrow. spent In the same way, the mercy of Allah Almighty did not allow anyone to dare to commit a sin after knowing this glorious night, because upon attaining this night, one gets the reward of a thousand months of worship. Now, in search of the Night of Qadr, man performs itikaaf all the time in worship and austerity and spends maximum time in worshiping and worshiping Allah.
It is narrated in Al-Bukhari Sharif that Hazrat Abu Huraira said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, Meaning: “Whoever stood on the night of Qadr with faith and for the sake of Allah’s nearness and reward (for the purpose of worship), all his past sins are forgiven.” “
Muhadditheen have written that this night is hot and not too cold. In this night the meteors do not break, in the morning of this night the sun rises like a saucer. That is, it does not have rays and it is not like the sun, but like the moon of the fourteenth. It is not permissible for Satan to go out with the sun of that day.
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, meaning: “Whoever is deprived of the Night of Power, it is as if he has been deprived of all good things, and the one who is completely deprived of the good of the Night of Power is deprived of it.” (Ibn Majah)
In view of the above hadith, Muslims should not be negligent on this night. Shab Qadr is a very precious gift of Ramadan. Sayyida Ayesha Siddiqa said to the Holy Prophet: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! If I find out about Shab Qadr, what should I pray for? The Holy Prophet ﷺ said: “O Allah! No doubt! You are forgiving and love those who forgive, so forgive me.” (Ibn Majah, Tirmidhi)
People of faith should organize prayers, recitations, blessings and supplications in this night. In this way, all kinds of actions will be rewarded. May Allah grant the people of faith the opportunity to make full use of these precious moments and achieve happiness. Amen
